Named after congressman J. Percy Priest the lake is a reservoir in the north central region of Tennessee.
It is formed by J. Percy Priest Dam, which is located between miles six and seven of the Stones River.
The dam (which is readily visible from Interstate 40) is located approximately 10 miles (16 kilometers) east of downtown Nashville and creates a lake that is 42 miles (68 kilometers) long. Cabin rentals on Percy Priest Lake can be a great vacation idea.
